We love our kale chips and the variety, large and small, of big, leafy greens in each bag. When making healthy, organic snacks from fresh ingredients like kale…something mysterious happens…you buy a bag and bring it home, and the leaves aren’t quite as big as last time, or there’s more crumbs in the bottom of the bag. Never fear! Those small tasty morsels are just as great tasting and nutritious as the large leaf chips and make great additions to so many recipes.
While we’re constantly striving to get you more, big, beautiful chips in every bag, transportation and handling sometimes isn’t on our side, and you often get varying sizes of chips.
So, until the Kale Elf stops jumping on bags in the warehouse, we have a few suggestions to get the most out of your bag of kale chips:
- Top a salad to add some flavor and crunch
- Add some flavor to your favorite soup
- Mix with your holiday stuffing
- Top your veggie burger or sandwich
- Mix with breadcrumbs and top fish, chicken or firm tofu and bake
- Add to a quiche
- Mix with beans
Or maybe you like to pour the crumbs straight into your mouth!
Whatever you like to do, we want to know!
Post your best kale crumb recipe on our Facebook wall by Wednesday, December 28th, and we’ll randomly draw 5 winners of a Rhythm goodie bag!
