Rhythm Superfoods Get Examined
February 21, 2014

We got an awesome review of our Superfood Chips from examiner.com this week! Author Thei Zervaki details her experience and we are so excited for what she has to say. Check out her commentary on our chips as published in the Food & Recipes section of the Examiner site.

“I always want to give a try to a new brand of chips. When I first tasted the Rhythm Superfood Chips at the recent Fancy Food Show in San Francisco, I loved their crispy texture and their interesting, grown-up flavor. Known as super veggie chips, are made from different type of grains, seeds and vegetables including quinoa, amaranth, sesame seeds, flaxeed, yellow and white corn and pea protein.

The Rhythm Superfood Chips are available in four distinctive flavors: Sea Salt, Nacho, Barbeque and Jalapeno. They all taste amazing but my favorite is the Barbeque. Here is what I discovered:

The Barbeque Rhythm Superfood Chips have 110 calories per 28 grams of serving with only 40 calories of fat, 3 grams of fiber, 4 grams of protein and 12 grams of whole grains. Carbs reach 14 grams per serving and sugars only 1 gram.

The product is free from gluten, GMOs, trans fats, cholesterol, artificial flavors, colors and preservatives and is also kosher certified.

The Barbeque Rhythm Superfood Chips are ideal for a healthy and delicious evening snack that is low in calories and will pair nicely with your glass of Chardonnay or even with a bottle of beer. I would even serve them with my favorite guacamole or salsa dip.”

Thanks, Thei and examiner.com! We are always appreciative when people take the time to spread the word about our chips, and we can only hope that everyone finds them as delicious as you did!

Sit and Stay with Rhythm
February 6, 2014

We’re excited to be a part of Emancipet’s Sit Stay Day fundraiser again this year and we want to let you all know a little bit about it. Emancipet is a local Austin organization that focuses on making spaying, neutering, and preventative vet care affordable. Here is how they describe themselves:

“We believe that every pet needs and deserves high-quality preventive veterinary care to keep them healthy and happy for their entire lives. But we know that sometimes spay/neuter procedures and basic care like vaccinations and flea and heartworm prevention are financially out of reach and inaccessible in some communities. We’re here to change that. We believe that making spay/neuter services and preventive veterinary care more affordable and accessible improves the lives of animals and the people who love them. We also believe it is the single most important strategy to end the unnecessary euthanasia of homeless pets in the United States.”

We are happy to be sponsoring Emancipet’s Sit Stay Day fundraiser this month. The idea is that when people donate to the cause, they get a kit full of products from sponsors, like us, that add up to be the perfect night in. Great for any occasion, these kits are an excellent way to Sit and Stay at home while still getting special perks for donating. Here’s a little more about the program from the Emancipet website:

“Ready, set, stay! Emancipet invites you to join us in celebrating our 4th Annual Sit Stay Day, an innovative fundraising concept that supports our mission to make spay/neuter and preventive veterinary care services affordable and accessible to all pet owners.

Sit Stay Day gives busy Austin philanthropists a chance to give to Emancipet while enjoying a day dedicated to doing exactly what they want, when they want, with the people – and pets! – they love. On Thursday, February 13, 2014, participants will receive a unique Sit Stay Day “kit,” chock full of an exciting assortment of local gourmet goodies delivered directly to their home or office.

Don’t forget – Sit Stay Day kits are perfect for Valentine’s Day! Or, order two and enjoy a “girls night in” with your closest friends. Sit Stay Day kits also make great gifts for friends, family members, co-workers and clients.

Here are just a few of the yummy treats that will be this year’s kits:

Snacks from Primizie Crispbreads and KIND Healthy Snacks
Sweet treats from SugarMama’s Bake Shop, LovePuppies Brownies and Cowgirl Treatery
Tasty adult sips including Tito’s Handmade Vodka and locally produced beer from Independence Brewery
Go Local: the Best Local Rewards Card
